About Us

In partnership with the Miami-Dade County Department of Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD), Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida (NHSSF) is kicking off the first Virtual Homeowner & Homebuyer Expo 2021 – Housing the Future Together!

We have tailored the Expo into two learning tracks:

  • Future Homebuyers
  • Current Homeowners


Upon registering for the Expo, you will be able to choose which educational sessions to attend. If you can’t make a session, you will be able to “save” them in your swag bag and watch the recorded session at your convenience*.

We saved the best detail for last, ATTENDANCE IS FREE!

* Registration for the Expo will give you access to the virtual venue up to 30 days after the day of the event. You can revisit the booths and watch any sessions of interest that you may have missed.

Virtual Exhibit Hall

The Homeowner & Homebuyer Expo 2021 will have a Vendors’ Exhibit Hall, where Miami-Dade County residents will have the opportunity to virtually “visit” the booths of more than 25 exhibitors and gather information about their products and services.

At the booths, you’ll find many valuable resources that will equip you to make informed consumer decisions, from looking to buying a house; considering what is the best homeowner’s insurance; to what refinance options are out there in the market.

Through a real-time chat feature activated at each exhibitor’s booth, you will have the ability to have a personal “meet-and-greet” with housing counselors, real estate agents, insurance providers, loan officers, credit repairs experts, and many other specialists in the housing industry.

Two Learning Programs

Future Homebuyers
Applying for down payment assistance or using community lending programs? If you are a first-time homebuyer, you can register for one of the certificated Homebuyer Workshops. The Homebuyer Workshops are being offered in English, Spanish, and Creole.

Homebuyers who want to gain helpful information on navigating a competitive housing market can participate in the Realtors or Lenders’ Roundtables. Here you will hear from industry experts about the best opportunities that are currently available.

Current Homeowners
If you already own your home, the Expo will offer educational sessions on how to “go green” in your home and how you can save money while doing it! You will be able to attend several demonstrations on solar panel installations, interior gardening, and the efficient use of water at home. More details to come.

Yes, you’ll need to register for this online Expo: it’s FREE. Simply click on the REGISTER tab at the top of the page and submit your information. Then, you’ll receive an email confirming your registration for the event and a reminder to save into your calendar.

If you want to participate as an exhibitor and need help to register, kindly contact NHSSF Department of Marketing and Communications at juang@nhssf.org, and we’ll reach back as soon as possible.
This is an online Housing Expo. You do not have to travel to any specific location. You can participate from anywhere, you just need access to Internet. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Your login credentials will be emailed to you ahead of the event [after your registration process]. You can use these details to access the virtual Homeowner & Homebuyer Expo on October 30, 2021.
Yes. Like any physical event, we will have a swag bag for you! You can add all of the documents available to the online swag bag in your account and then email them to yourself or share items with your colleagues by simply entering their email.
Exhibitors will be live on October 30, 202 starting 9:15 AM until 5:00 PM (EST). Only during this time window, you will be able to interact with the vendors at the Expo exhibit hall or at the Workshops and live educational sessions. However, you still be able to log in after the day of the event to watch some of the recorded sessions if you missed them.

Up to 30 days after the Day-of the online venue will be accessible with your registration credentials.
No, you only need to have access to the Internet. However, it is always better to be prepared with Audio and Video if you want ask questions or comment in the live sessions or if you are looking to chat with the vendors associates.
